BLUE MOON PRESENTS: UNISA LANGUAGE FESTIVAL, 18 OCTOBER 2012
On 18 October 2012 Blue Moon played host to some 450 learners and 150 VIP guests from UNISA. The theme for the festival was “Celebrating diversity through language and culture”.
The aim of the festival was to illustrate the diversity of languages and cultures in our country. The festival had a strong African language focus showcasing music, dance, poetry, film and culture of the different African languages through an informative programme presented to the learners and teachers.
Blue Moon provided a “build your own hamburger” breakfast to the learners on arrival and a formal buffet breakfast to the VIP guests. The learner’s lunch consisted of pre-packed lunch boxes which they received on their way home. The VIP guests were treated to a 3 course formal seated lunch. All prepared and served in true Blue Moon style.
The learners were taken on an international taste journey with traditional dishes from Italy, Portugal, China, Germany and Afrikaans.
